Thanks for dropping in on my website and, by way of introduction, here's a little bit about me. I'm a 'recovering' journalist and journalism educator. My time in the media was spent reporting as a news, current affairs and sport journalist on radio and television. I also worked in magazine feature writing and editing.

I left journalism but it never really left me. The crave for stories, adrenalin rush, suspicion - sorry, inquiring mind (!) and curiosity about the lives of others was channelled in to journalism of the future. I have spent the past 15 years as a journalism lecturer, teaching hundreds of journalism and sports journalism students on their way into the profession.

My expertise and passion lies in broadcast, particularly the field of podcasting. I've developed podcast training courses for sporting and government organisations, as well as individuals who, like us all, wanted to start their own podcast. I am the managing supervisor of Making A Difference, a podcast produced monthly by journalism students around Australia for Junction Journalism.
